For the past 12 years, Computime have been synonymous with SunSystems, the leading financial and business management application. SunSystems is part of Infor, the third largest ERP vendor worldwide, and is designed to cater for medium to large organisations and for groups of companies which may have complex financial management and reporting needs.
Through this association, Computime have implemented SunSystems for many of the larger and more complex Maltese organisations, as well as numerous international organisations in some 10 different countries, in various industries such as telecommunications, oil & gas, financial services, hospitality and manufacturing. As a result, Computime have built a large team of business consultants and technical specialists who have a strong track record in undertaking complex software implementation and business change projects for very demanding customers.
In order to fully service the local market requirements Computime have recognised the need to supplement this offering with a product whose strong points complement those of their current portfolio. The company has taken a strategic decision to extend their successful partnership with Microsoft and adopt Microsoft's mid-market ERP software application Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision)
NAV is a highly configurable set of business applications designed for a wide variety of businesses. NAV's core functionality, which can be configured to meet almost any specific requirement, includes Financial Management and Accounting, Warehousing, Distribution and Manufacturing, and through customisation or standard add-ons practically any function can be provided. It has been designed to work seamlessly with other Microsoft programs such as Microsoft Office.
During the past months, Computime have made major investments in order to ensure that they are prepared for this challenge. They have built a specialised team by recruiting some of the most experienced NAV consultants in Malta, cross-training a number of their existing staff in the new product, and also recruiting new staff who have good knowledge in the business areas where NAV shows strong capability in delivering solutions.
