The Malta Engineering Excellence Awards for 2004 were presented by President Fenech Adami at St James Cavalier, Valletta, on Friday evening during the annual reception of the Chamber of Engineers.
These awards provide national recognition to individuals and organisations that have achieved outstanding engineering accomplishments.
Three awards were presented - one for innovation, one for leadership and one for lifetime achievement.
The Innovation award was presented to DataStream Ltd, the Leadership award went to Computime Ltd, while the Lifetime Achievment Award was given to Ing. Gerald Borg.
At the end of the presentation ceremony, Ing. Alexander Tranter, president of the Chamber, stressed the importance of the contribution which the engineering profession is providing to local industry and Maltese society in general. He appealed to all engineers to always be professional and dynamic in their work.
These awards are organised by the Chamber of Engineers in collaboration with the Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure.
