HP has positioned as the leader for ability to execute and completeness of vision for the 2nd year running in the latest blade server Magic Quadrant released by Gartner.
Gartner’s Magic Quadrant is the IT industry analysts’ signature research deliverable, leaving other analyst firms envious. The Magic Quadrant (MQ) is a valuable tool for both the Gartner advisory analyst and the buyer of technology.
HP is positioned in the leading position based on our overall strength of execution and vision followed by IBM and to a lesser extent Dell. This is mainly due to:
- the extensive cross-selling opportunities by HP, both as the leading x86 server vendor and a major Unix vendor;
- the strong investment in management tools that enables a single point of management across multiple virtualization technologies (VMware, Microsoft and HP-UX-based virtualization), and manages physical and virtual infrastructure;
- HP’s commitment to blade innovation, particularly around virtual I/O, cooling, infrastructure auto provisioning, blade aggregation and fabric-enabled infrastructure convergence.
